The “BTS Universe” is still tugging heartstrings, even during the upbeat “Butter” era.
Back in 2015, BTS released their “I NEED U” music video, launching a complicated plot that would become the “BTS Universe” or “BU.” In the BU, Jin travels back in time over and over again in the hopes of saving all six of his friends, and himself.
The friendship between Jungkook and Suga is one of the most tragic. No matter how hard Jungkook tries, he is unable to save Suga from his fate.
In one loop, Suga dies in a fire that he started…
…and Jungkook plummets to his death.
If you thought this tragedy couldn’t get any sadder, grab the nearest tissue box and prepare to sob. An ARMY theorist has proposed that (in at least one loop) the only thing Jungkook managed to save from the motel fire was Suga’s plaid shirt.
“[Jungkook] has been using it in ‘Euphoria’ and ‘FAKE LOVE’ so that somehow he can feel that he’s with [Suga],” @jadewordeu tweeted.
