The Dating History Of Girls’ Generations’ YoonA, The “Nation’s Ideal Type”

Girls’ Generation’s YoonA has truly been what newer K-Pop fans call the “it girl” of her generation. It was hard to find a second-generation male idol who did not mention the singer as their favorite or ideal type, thanks to her irresistible beauty.

Among all the K-pop idols who crushed on YoonA, 2PM members are probably the most mentioned to this day. Four out of the six members of the group, Nickhun, Taecyeon, Junho, and Chansung, publicly named her as their preferred type. In fact, Taecyeon once exposed Junho during an interview, revealing that his teammate had been jealous of him for performing with YoonA!

Funnily enough, after being friends for a long time, Junho and YoonA ended up starring as the leads in the drama King the Land, and their amazing on-screen chemistry resulted in dating rumors between the two.

Some other male idols who have shown their unabashed admiration for YoonA include names like BIGBANG’s Daesung, actor Lee Jun Ki, B1A4’s Gongchan, Super Junior’s Leeteuk, and SHINEE’s Jonghyun.

While the Girls’ Generation member seemed to be the ideal type of literally the entire nation, her dating history is surprisingly brief. YoonA was the first member of her group to go public with her relationship when she was dating singer and actor Lee Sung Gi. Before dating YoonA, he had previously mentioned her as his ideal type and was teased about it frequently when he was a host on Strong Heart. The pair dated from 2013 until 2015, when they broke up due to busy schedules.

The rest of the so-called history of YoonA’s romances is all unconfirmed rumors. When she appeared as the female lead in K2, she was caught up in dating rumors with the male lead, Ji Chang Wook, which he denied with a hilarious reply.

She also got caught up in dating rumors with labelmate EXO’s Sehun after netizens mistook actor Ki Do Hoon as Sehun in some candid pictures with YoonA. Currently, the Girls’ Generation member is reported to be single.
