ATEEZ’s Seonghwa Had Very Low Confidence At The Start Of His Career—Here’s What Helped It Grow

The members of ATEEZ recently met with Singles Korea where they each did their own solo pictorial as well as their own interviews!
In Seonghwa’s portion of the interview, he opened up on how he gained confidence throughout the years despite having very little at the start of his career.
My self esteem wasn’t on the high side before my debut. It was to the point that I covered half of my face with my bangs. Despite having the dream of becoming singer since elementary school, I couldn’t tell my parents properly.

Seonghwa continued and expressed he has gained more confidence from his fans and hopes others will confidently chase their dreams as well.
Now with my fans’ love, I found my confidence. I hope that everyone could believe in their possibilities and try everything with confidence.

Seonghwa also shared that while he was nervous the first time he stood on stage, being with his members helped him overcome his fears.
Even though I have fears while starting new entertainment programs, content shooting, and more but because I’m not alone, I receive comfort from the fact that the eight of us are together. I controlled my mind with the thought that as long as we are together we can do anything.

Along with Mingi, eight of us getting together, for sure, I felt a sense of security. Being together for a long time, we know the likes and dislikes of one another very well. It’s very lovable to see the care we have for one another.
