One thing that can be said about BTS is that no matter the amount of success, accomplishments, and awards they’ve received, they have always remained the same humble young men they were even back when they were rookies.

Anyone who knows the members personally has put truth to this statement. Singer-songwriter, entrepreneur, and host Eric Nam has been interviewing them for years. He had said that back then when they had recently debuted, they were always so kind and mannerly.

Even in recent years, as they are all still friends, Eric looks for any opportunity to praise them. After their loss at the 2021 GRAMMY Awards, he expressed his disappointment. Yet, he admired how the group stayed positive. He continued to praise BTS’s hard work and optimistic attitude and explained that it’s one of the main reasons he admires them so much.
It just didn’t work out but I think I was seeing all over the internet the guys being like, ‘Well, time to get back to work’ and I love that…that’s what I love about them. They’re humble, they’re hard working and they’re just gonna keep doing their thing and hopefully, next year’s the year and…uh…yeah. I don’t know what to say.

The group’s popularity surged in 2017 as they began the Love Yourself series and UNICEF campaign made K-pop history by becoming the first Korean act to enter the top 10 of the Billboard 200, won Top Social Artist at the 2017 Billboard Music Awards, and made many of their American TV debuts. At the start of all of this, the group decided that they wouldn’t brag no matter what.
We’ve been avoiding blowing our own horn since 2017 because we’re afraid of payback someday.

In BTS’s interview for the latest issue of Billboard’s magazine, leader RM himself revealed that there’s a reason behind this never-changing down-to-earth attitude of theirs. It’s because they believe that “what goes around comes around” or “you reap what you sow.” They recognize there are direct results of everything one does or says.
We constantly think about karma.

BTS are not only as humble as ever but also incredibly mature. They think about the effect they have on everyone and each other and are mindful of their actions.
