EXO’s Xiumin Tests Positive For COVID-19

EXO‘s Xiumin has tested positive for COVID-19. Below is the full statement.

Hello this is SM Entertainment. We are here to inform you that EXO’s Xiumin has tested positive for COVID-19 as of August 5. Previously, Xiumin took a COVID-19 test in order to attend practice for a musical and first received a negative result. However on August 4, he felt abnormal symptoms and received a positive test on August 5.

As a result, EXO members and staff are all currently self-isolating as they wait for their results. In addition, all broadcast programs in which Xiumin is appearing in have been notified of this fact and all cast and staff related to the musical ‘Hadestown’ will be tested for COVID-19.

Xiumin will immediately stop all schedules and actively follow the instructions of the quarantine authorities and we will do our best so that the artist recovers quickly. We apologize for causing concern to many people and we will do our best to ensure the safety and health of all our artists and staff by following the quarantine guidelines.
