MAMAMOO’s Solar Reveals Her Exact Daily Diet & Exercise Routine

In a new video on her YouTube channel, solarsido, MAMAMOO‘s Solar revealed her “7 Year Girl Group Member’s Intense Diet Menu.” Back in a 2019 solarsido video, Solar revealed she lost two kilograms in just three days by eating nothing but fruit and chicken breast.
If you remember that diet, her current eating plan may surprise you—this one has a lot more variety. From protein to vegetables to dairy carbs, here’s what Solar is currently eating on her diet (along with how often she works out).
1. Morning snack
After waking up at midday, the first thing Solar looks for as soon as she opens her eyes is a fresh apple. For her first snack of the day, she eats half of an apple and saves the rest for the following day.

2. Breakfast
30 minutes later, it’s time for a real breakfast. Solar showed off how she grills 150g of beef tenderloin to perfection for her first meal of the day. The MAMAMOO star revealed she’s sick of chicken breast lately, so she’s opting for beef instead.

She pairs the beef with 110g of rice with soybeans, known as kongbap in Korean, plus carrots, young summer radish kimchi, and an Almond Breeze protein drink.

Solar confessed she doesn’t like vegetables, so she eats everything wrapped up in lettuce leaves to up her greens.

3. Supplements
After another 30 minutes has passed, Solar takes a supplement to ensure she’s getting all her nutrients. Her supplement of choice is Seoul Pharmacist Credit Union‘s My Body Micromolecular Collagen Beauty, which contains collagen, vitamin C, vitamin D, L-Carnitine, and more.

4. Protein milkshake
About an hour and a half after eating breakfast, Solar gets her energy pumping with some home training exercises.

After around two hours of working out, she makes sure to drink a protein milkshake to help her body recover. “I always feel like I’m not taking enough protein,” she explained while mixing up the SYNTHA-6 Ultra-Premium Protein Matrix powder.

5. Lunch
After yet another hour of working out, it’s time for Solar to eat lunch.

For her second meal of the day, she switches out rice for 100g of sweet pumpkin, which she cooks in her air-fryer after slicing it thinly.

To round out her sweet pumpkin into a full meal, Solar adds seven pieces of tofu, seaweed, carrots, squid, and sesame leaves for wrapping.

For extra flavor, Solar adds gochujang with vinegar and ssamjang on the side—two popular condiments in Korean cuisine.

6. Dinner
Solar’s weight loss regime includes plenty of exercise, so after lunch, she takes her dog Yongki for a two-hour walk. Naturally, they’re both hungry afterwards, so it’s time for dinner.

The singer revealed that even when she’s on a diet, she can’t stand eating the same foods over and over again, so her daily meals have lots of variety. For dinner, she boils six eggs. Ordinarily, she hard boils them and only eats the whites, but this time, she had to eat the yolks after accidentally soft boiling them.

She eats the eggs with four carrot chunks, then enjoys a small plate of Greek yogurt with 13 blueberries. To top it off, she drinks another carton of Almond Breeze Nutri Plus Protein.

“I’m sad and don’t want to diet,” Solar revealed in her video captions. However, to ensure she doesn’t get sick of what she’s eating, she has been avoiding eating the same things every day. “In order to have fun doing it,” she explained, “I’ve been putting in effort and living like this.”
