Twin Volleyball Players Reportedly Making A Comeback — 4 Months After Their Bullying Scandal

According to Sports Kyunghyang, the volleyball twins Lee Da Young and Lee Jae Young may be preparing to make a comeback. On June 22, the Korea Volleyball Federation (KOVO) announced they would be registering the sisters as players by June 30. This means that the twins will be making their return to the volleyball courts.

Previously, Lee Da Young and Lee Jae Young shocked the entire nation when they were accused of being perpetrators of school violence and bullying. The twins have been well-loved since their debut, dominating with their skills on the volleyball courts, and dominating off the courts with their appearances on variety shows. The nation quickly fell in love with their quirky personalities and “goddess-like” visuals — until it came to a crumbling halt.

The sisters were accused of verbally and physically bullying their classmates back in middle school, as well as their former volleyball teammates. For several weeks, bullying allegations were made towards some of South Korea’s biggest stars, as numerous apologies and notifications of indefinite hiatuses began to take over headlines all across the nation.

After the twins admitted to their wrongdoings, they were removed from their teams and the National Volleyball League. They have since remained quiet and out of the spotlight — until now. Four months later, it seems that the girls are gradually gearing up for a volleyball comeback and the reports made by Sports Kyunghyang may have confirmed them.

Lee Da Young will reportedly be venturing overseas to join a league in Greece, while Lee Jae Young will be joining the V-League, which is a South Korean club volleyball league.
