NCT’s Shotaro Opens His Own Personal Instagram Account

Shotaro, one of NCT‘s rappers and dancers (and the newest member alongside Sungchan) is now the latest member to open his own personal Instagram account!
Shotaro unveiled his account on April 17, 2021. In just 24 hours, he racked up 1.2 million followers and over 1.1 million likes on his first-ever post. Fans on other social media platforms were so excited, they got his name trending on Twitter worldwide after the announcement.
While some of his fellow members have pretty unusual Instagram handles, Shotaro went for something simple: @_shotaroo_, with the additional “o” likely representing the Japanese starlet’s surname, Osaki.
In his first day on Instagram, Shotaro has already uploaded two photos for lucky NCTzens. The first shows him striking an edgy pose posing in one of his iconic all-black outfits. Within hours, his members were already following and commenting. Doyoung replied, “Welcome back,” in Japanese, while Yangyang commented, “What’s up my friend!” in English.
In the second photo, Shotaro is even more stylish in a bucket hat, blazer, jeans, and sneakers—topped off with a Celine bag. So far, Shotaro isn’t following anyone on Instagram, but it’s likely he’ll be adding his fellow members to the list soon.
Shotaro now joins 14 other NCT members on Instagram. Taeyong has 3.8 million followers since joining Instagram in February 2021.
Mark has 4.1 million followers since joining Instagram in January 2021.
Doyoung has 6.0 million followers since joining Instagram in October 2020.
Jaemin has 4.8 million followers since joining Instagram in October 2020.
