After (G)I-DLE‘s Soojin was recently accused of allegedly bullying her classmates back in school, CUBE Entertainment quickly released a denial, followed by a personal statement by Soojin herself. The statement denies bullying allegations but admits to having smoked underaged. Actress Seo Shin Ae was caught in the crossfires, as she released a cryptic Instagram story. She also went to the same middle school as Soojin.
However, fans were unsettled by her involvement and took to Instagram to flood her comments.
Many fans were calling for the actress to apologize to Soojin, accusing her of trying to garner clout by writing her post in English.
Seo Shin Ae fired back a few hours later, by posting the song “Therefore I Am” by Billie Eilish on her Instagram story.
The song lyrics seemingly respond to the situation at hand.

Many netizens have interpreted it as a response to Soojin’s personal statement where she invokes Seo Shin Ae’s name in her apology although Seo Shin Ae never directly brought up Soojin.
Seo Shin Ae’s agency is currently “checking the facts” and may or may not release a statement subsequently. CUBE Entertainment has yet to respond.
