Yet, while the announcement garnered attention, it quickly came under criticism after netizens actually watched the video teaser.
Global protests and boycotts are going on worldwide, with netizens hitting back at companies that have ties with or have supported Israel. Coca-Cola is one of those brands as “it profits from the Israeli occupation of Palestine,” particularly as it is known to operate in Atarot, an illegal Israeli settlement.
While most of the video teaser by JYP seemed to showcase the groups, netizens noticed the advertisements for Coca-Cola in the background.
The brand was also tagged in the description of the video on YouTube and tagged in the teaser that was posted on Instagram, with netizens noticing that it hadn’t been shared on X yet.
Considering the global boycott, netizens voiced their anger at JYP Entertainment for being involved in collaborating with Coca-Cola.
Many explained that after waiting so long for a JYP collaboration, the company tainted it by having it be a collaboration with a major brand on the boycott list, adding that they wouldn’t be supporting it.

do not stream the song or give it any views when it comes out. we need to show JYP how serious we are to boycott their artists associating with any of these brands.

we waited and hoped for a jyp family collab, and instead of letting their artists work ethically and freely, jype chooses once again to be a money hungry company by sponsoring coca cola who are supporting a literal genocide. fuck you
