Recently, aespa‘s Karina was featured on comedian Jang Do Yeon‘s talk show Salon Drip 2, during which she opened up about her older sister, visiting a fortune teller, and explained how she developed a phobia of birds.
aespa’s Karina | iMBCJang Do Yeon interviewed the talented aespa leader and asked how she developed severe ornithophobia, or a phobia of birds.
Karina explained that she couldn’t even pass pigeons on the sidewalk and instead waited for them to clear before she began to walk again.

She revealed that the fear stems back to when she was “super young,” and she vividly remembers the day she began to fear them.
Karina shared that she was walking home from piano lessons and hilariously described kicking her back in front of her as she walked.

Ahead of where she was walking, someone was feeding pigeons, and a group of students dribbled a ball.
The trouble began when the ball rolled away from the students and into the path of the pigeons, which had been gathered to eat.

Karina recalled that the pigeons flew right over her head, which she hadn’t expected because she had been focused on kicking her bag.
She admitted it scared her more than it would have had she been paying attention, but she’s been afraid of birds ever since.
