“Lee Jihye will lead the movie along with Kim Dokja and Yoo Joohyuk” (didn't even put their effort to write his name right) This is the headline of a post from a big news acc in my country. They make this sounds like the movie abt LJH and her friends pic.twitter.com/21aiwftEf1

Of course, despite the criticisms of the casting, BLINKs were ready (with evidence) to defend the decision to cast Jisoo as Le Ji Hye. Along with saying it was up to the casting team, they shared that having adults play teenagers isn’t new, especially in Korea, adding that Jisoo has ageless visuals that could easily pass as 17.
To the qrts: jisoo can easily pull a school girl look. She doesn't have to be a literal teenager to play the role https://t.co/BktB7SxpGX pic.twitter.com/qZim9ucmQt

so funny how the deranged orv fanatics were blabbing about how Jisoo can't play Jihye because of her age while we have a bunch of people camping on dior beauty's posts saying it's inappropriate to have a teenager promoting their products and the teenager in question is Jisoo

Your opinion doesn't matter, the director, team, writernim already confirm and choose them for this characters. You want to watch or not? It's up to you, but bring another case and hating on jisoo even though it has nothing to do with this casting, VERY STUPID

The Wiki for the original version also shared that because of Ji Hye’s experiences, her appearance looks like someone in their 20s, which is perfect for Jisoo.
Many fans know how good Jisoo is when she’s acting and in Korean shows and films, it isn’t uncommon for older stars to play those younger, especially if they don’t look their age.
