A Korean beauty analyst Rare Lee spoke up as to why BLACKPINK‘s Jennie suits hairbands so much.

Jennie is often seen wearing hairbands of all size and shape.

She even donned this over-the-top one from Chanel!

On the other hand, other idols such as SISTAR‘s Dasom, do not suit hairbands as well as Jennie.

Hairbands make Dasom’s head look flat and unbalanced. This is as Jennie’s parting length is really long! The length of your parting is part of your natural head shape. Jennie’s is particularly long compared to most people.

Comparatively, while Jisoo looks gorgeous no matter what, she looks better without hairbands than with. The length of the parting is shorter compared to Jennie’s.

Take a look at Dasom’s. Hers is even shorter, although she has a gorgeous forehead and near-perfect facial features. This makes the top of her head look flat most of the time.

Dasom’s beauty truly shines when she’s given some volume in the roots. This balances out her round forehead perfectly.

We can also see how Kwon Eunbi suits hairbands like Jennie. The length of her parting is also long, and her head shape is comparable to Jennie’s.

This theory has nothing to do with face shape at all. Back then, it was believed that round faces should not wear hairbands as it accentuates the roundness of the face. Jennie certainly disproved that theory! For hairbands, the length of the parting and crown is more important.
