Stray Kids’ Hyunjin Admits Bang Chan Toned Down “Red Lights” — Can Fans Expect An Unreleased Version?

In 2021, Stray Kids released five episodes of their SKZ Song Camp: Howl In Harmony series on their official YouTube channel. During the series, the eight members split into three teams with the task of writing a new song. Han, Seungmin, and I.N formed one team, Lee Know, Felix, and Changbin formed another, while Bang Chan and Hyunjin made up the final group.

Each song was featured on Stray Kids’ second studio album, Noeasy, and Bang Chan and Hyunjin’s song earned attention for its sexy and mature concept.

In his recent interview with Rolling Stone UK, he discussed his position as global ambassador of Versace, what he likes to do in his free time, his close friendship with his fellow Stray Kids members, and more.

He also revisited the 2021 track “Red Lights” and explained that it could have been even sexier.

Back when the song was released, Bang Chan and Hyunjin both hilariously claimed the other wrote the lyrics and playfully denied they were responsible when fans asked.

Finally, Hyunjin revealed that they had both written the lyrics together, but in his new interview with Rolling Stone UK, he admitted the original lyrics he wrote were “quite bold” before being “toned down” by Bang Chan.

When asked if he would ever release the original version, Hyunjin replied that it wasn’t likely, saying,

I think it might be difficult to release the song, so it will be kept as a memory between me and Bang Chan.
