Once again, K-Pop stans are using their social media savvy to hijack a political hashtag.

On January 20, Joe Biden was sworn in as the 46th President of the United States of America, taking over office from former president Donald Trump.

President Biden was in office less than 48 hours before the hashtag #ImpeachBidenNow became the second-highest trending Twitter in the US.
The hashtag was allegedly started by Twitter users who feel that Biden is not fit for office, but this online protest soon became a K-Pop party.

Fans from various K-Pop fandoms are tweeting fancams, photos, and more to make the hashtag their own.

Many Twitter users are happy to see K-Pop stans involved and are thanking them for their efforts.
The social media activism of the kpop stans is something I've grown to love from the depths of my heart
They're all over #ImpeachBidenNow today and it's glorious. Here's a randomly selected kpop gif as a thank you to them (I don't know who this is, but love the dresses) pic.twitter.com/wDrtZIvWHF

This isn’t the first time K-Pop has crossed into politics. Last year, fans helped Black Lives Matter protesters by spamming the Dallas Police Department‘s iWatch app with fancams. They also took over hashtags to protect protesters.
kpop stans this week:
-Took down the Dallas Police App trying to arrest protestors by sending them fancams
-Spammed the #whiteoutwednsday hashtag with kpop fancams and ruined the whole hashtag for the racists pic.twitter.com/VWnLJB75s7— Hurt CoPain (@SaeedDiCaprio) June 3, 2020
In addition to this, the hacktivist collective Anonymous recruited a “K-Pop division” to take out the #BlueLivesMatter and #WhiteLivesMatter hashtags.
Report from the battle: The Anonymous K-Pop division #OpFanCam has successfully conquered the #BlueLivesMatter and #WhiteLivesMatter hashtags. A major victory over online fascism's messaging tools, their fascist incel troops have been completely decimated.
