TVXQ’s Yunho Speaks Out About What Aespa’s Karina Is Like As An Actress In “NEXUS”

Recently, TVXQ‘s Yunho, also called U-KNOW, gained attention for talking about what it was like working with aespa‘s Karina for his new album.

On August 16, Yunho appeared as a guest on KBS Cool FM‘s Lee Eun Ji’s Music Plaza. They talked about his recently released third mini-album titled Reality Show, and the host Lee Eun Ji asked about the short-film NEXUS.

At the beginning of the month, fans were excited to see Karina in the teaser for Reality Show. The teaser seemed like a movie trailer, and many anticipated seeing Yunho and Karina’s acting skills.

NEXUS premiered on August 7, the 13 minutes and 45 seconds video told a story while showcasing the songs in his album.

The character other than Yunho’s character that gained attention was an AI named Sara, who was played by none other than the “AI-like visual” singer herself: Karina. With her blonde hair and AI voice, Karina acted like Siri but in her own unique way.

When Lee Eun Ji asked Yunho about working with Karina on this short film, Yunho expressed his amazement at the young idol’s professionalism.

Karina had never acted before, but she had memorized all her lines. I didn’t know she had such good pronunciation and vocalization.

He also thanked Karina for participating in NEXUS and making it even better with her presence. He also said he wanted to give her a gift as a thank you.

I’m really thankful for her excellent performance. Because of her, the work became a high quality piece. She is truly more beautiful than an AI. I’m so grateful. When I return from being overseas, I’ll give her a gift.
