Big Hit Entertainment Files New Criminal Complaints Against Those Who Repeatedly Attack BTS
본문
BTS‘s agency, Big Hit Entertainment, takes a zero-tolerance approach to protect their artists, both online and off.
On December 30, the agency released a new statement on Weverse to update fans on legal proceedings. The statement begins with a reminder that “malicious activities”, including “ill-intentioned criticism, the spread of groundless information, sexual harassment, personal attacks and defamation,” have serious legal consequences.
Big Hit Entertainment has filed additional criminal complaints against malicious individuals, including repeat offenders.
These include perpetrators who have previously been found guilty and sentenced to fines, as well as individuals who are presumed to be engaged in malicious activities even while being under investigation after we have filed criminal complaints against them.

The agency plans to crack down on these repeat offenders, some of whom write posts from multiple accounts, until their malicious behavior ends. “For these individuals,” they stated. “we will initiate legal proceedings against them until their malicious behaviors stop completely.”
Big Hit Entertainment will also file for damages after these repeat offenders have been found guilty in court. Read the full statement here:
Hello.
This is Big Hit Entertainment.
Big Hit regularly initiates legal proceedings against perpetrators of malicious activities related to BTS, including ill-intentioned criticism, the spread of groundless information, sexual harassment, personal attacks and defamation. We would like to provide an update on these activities.
We have recently filed additional criminal complaints using new information provided by fans as well as collected through our monitoring initiatives.
These include perpetrators who have previously been found guilty and sentenced to fines, as well as individuals who are presumed to be engaged in malicious activities even while being under investigation after we have filed criminal complaints against them. For these individuals, we will initiate legal proceedings against them until their malicious behaviors stop completely.
Some individuals created dozens of accounts to make malicious postings. We monitored these accounts and filed complaints against multiple accounts.
For perpetrators who continue to engage in criminal activities after they have been found guilty in a court of law, we plan to file for damages in civil court. Big Hit will continue to initiate strict measures to ensure that perpetrators are prosecuted to the full extent of the law, and there will be no settlement or leniency.
Big Hit regularly collects information on malicious postings regarding BTS, reports them to the authorities and files criminal complaints. We ask that you make continued use of our hotline (protect@bighitcorp.com) to report any cases of abuse.
We are always grateful for the affection and dedication shown by our fans to BTS. We will continue to work to ensure that the rights of our artists are fully protected.
Thank you.
