Many found it childish, calling the writing a throwback to dramas from the past. The script was criticized as outdated, with the plot a bundle of clichés.
Despite the bad start, it seems like the drama is taking off. Ratings have risen dramatically between the first and second episodes. Nielsen Korea reported that the second episode recorded a 7.5% rating in paid households nationwide. The episode aired on June 18, 2023. This is a 2.4% increase from the rating of 5.1% that the first episode earned.
