BTS‘s 2016 song “Spring Day” is widely regarded as the “queen” of BTS’s discography. She has broken countless records, topped charts, and touched millions of hearts around the world. Now, she will be featured in Sisyphus: The Myth, a 2021 K-Drama starring Cho Seung Woo and Park Shin Hye.
Park Shin Hye as Kang Seo Hae.
Sisyphus: The Myth follows the life of a genius engineer (Cho Seung Woo) and a time-traveling warrior (Park Shin Hye). With the help of Park Shin Hye’s character, Kang Seo Hae, Cho Seung Woo’s character, Han Tae Sul, is trying to unravel the mystery of his older brother’s death.
“Spring Day” is very special to Kang Seo Hae. In the show’s teaser, Kang Seo Hae discovers a Bring The Soul movie poster while wandering the war-torn ruins of Myeongdong.
She takes off her gas mask and plugs in a pair of earphones to listen to “Spring Day”. This song about longing and hope breathes life into Kang Seo Hae’s desolate world. According to a report by Newsen, BTS gave the production staff permission to feature the song.
“Spring Day” was chosen as a character-defining theme for Kang Seo Hae during the drama’s planning stages. Like “Spring Day”, Kang Seo Hae isn’t giving up hope. Even when it seems impossible, she has faith that her world will bloom and spring will come again.
Sisyphus: The Myth, “JTBC‘s 10th Anniversary Special Drama”, is scheduled to premiere on February 17, 2021. It will be available to watch on Netflix.
