A high schooler is making headlines for her insane designing abilities! The 18 year old is capturing the attention of netizens for her incredible recreation of BLACKPINK‘s hanbok look in their music video for “How You Like That”.
In a recent YouTube video for Gohigh, high school fashion designer Lee Yoo Na made an appearance to tackle BLACKPINK’s famous hanbok look. She went through and talked about all the members’ looks before revealing the final outcome. She starts off with the one and the only, Jennie.
For Jennie, her dopo and baeja really stood out to me.

She explained that a dopo is something that only scholars wore back in the day, with the main focal point of the top being its long length.
She revealed that for Jennie’s look, they cut it to make it shorter and more modern.
They cut it short so that she could perform in it but they did use the remaining fabric and wrapped it around her waist like a skirt.

Next, the young designer goes on to explain what a baeja is and how Jennie wore it in their music video.
She is wearing something over her top and it’s called a baeja. It’s similar to a vest and is meant for women to wear. They used the sleeveless top and lined it with fur for extra warmth in the winter.
