1. Chaewon
LE SSERAFIM’s Chaewon was born in Seoul, South Korea, and is the daughter of theatre actress Lee Ran Hee. Chaewon was a contest on Produce48 where she earned a chance to debut with IZ*ONE. After IZ*ONE disbanded at the end of their contract, Chaewon was able to debut with LE SSERAFIM as their leader.
2. Sakura
Sakura was born in Kagoshima, Japan, and has been in the entertainment industry since she was 13 years old. She began her career as a first generation trainee for the Japanese pop group HKT48 before debuting with them as a full-time member. She became an extremely popular member of the group and eventually joined Produce48 alongside a few of her fellow HKT48 members in 2018. Sakura was also in IZ*ONE alongside her future LE SSERAFIM member, Chaewon.
3. Yunjin
Yunjin was born in Seoul, Korea, but grew up in New York. Yunjin was also a Produce48 contestant but unfortunately did not make the lineup for IZ*ONE. She was, however, loved by fans who jokingly threatened to burn her passport so she wouldn’t return to the US. Luckily, fans got their wish when Yunjin joined Source Music and was able to debut as a member of LE SSERAFIM!
4. Kazuha
Kazuha was raised in Osaka, Japan, where she was a professional ballerina. Kazuha has attended ballet academies in Japan, Moskow, the UK, and most recently, the Netherlands. In an interview with Weverse Magazine, Kazuha credited BLACKPINK as one of her inspirations to become a K-Pop idol.
5. Garam
Garam was born in Sagju, South Korea. When she was younger, she dreamed of being an actress. Garam attended Seoul Performing Arts High School where she was a member of the theatre and film department.
6. Eunchae
Eunchae was born in Miryang, South Korea. While attending school, she would often perform covers of popular K-Pop dances. She fell in love with performing and asked her mom if she could enroll in a professional dance academy to train to become an idol. She joined the famous Def Music Academy before debuting as LE SSERAFIM’s maknae.
