NCT’s Lucas Is Showered With Love And Support After Worrying Performance

For the 2020 Asia Artist Awards, NCT 2020 had a memorable night. NCT Dream took home the Best Emotive Award; NCT 127 won the Best Artist Award; WayV won the Asia Celebrity: Singer award; NCT as a whole won an Album Of The Year Daesang.
While it was a time for celebration, many couldn’t help but worry for Lucas after seeing him act uncharacteristically.
During NCT U‘s performance of “Make A Wish (Birthday Song)”, Lucas’s performance wasn’t anything like every other stage for the song. Rather than being full of energy and showing off the big smile fans are used to seeing, he didn’t smile at all.

He merely went through the motions of the choreography without his signature bright energy, causing fans’ suspicions to rise.

Even in photos of the full group holding a couple of their awards, Lucas’s face was still blank compared to his usual warm smile.
Even though fans didn’t know what had taken away Lucas’s beautiful smile, they showed their love and support through trending #WeLoveYouLUCAS on Twitter.
