Pledis Entertainment Responds To Reveal Of NU’EST’s Baekho Being A Victim Of “Produce 101” Manipulation

Pledis Entertainment has responded to the reveal of NU’EST‘s Baekho being a victim of the vote manipulation scandal in Produce 101 Season 2.

Earlier today, it was revealed that 12 trainees spread throughout the four seasons of Produce 101 were victims of vote manipulation by PD Ahn Joon Young and CP Kim Yong Bum. Lee Gaeun, who was a victim in Produce 48, already revealed her position, and now Pledis Entertainment has shared theirs on behalf of Baekho, who participated in Produce 101 Season 2 under his real name Kang Dongho.

We are glad that the damage Baekho was a victim of was clarified, albeit it was done very belatedly.

We will continue to monitor the situation for future measures. However, rumors that Kang Dongho was the trainee who voluntarily did not want to join the final lineup of Wanna One is false.

Mnet stated that they were in the process of working with the trainees and agencies who were victims on a compensation package, however Pledis Entertainment refuted this claim, stating they have yet to be contacted.
