It seems as if the world cannot seem to get enough of Korean culture nowadays. With access to material and content more available in other countries, people are embracing what the country has to offer, especially K-Pop and K-Dramas.

There is no denying that when it comes to Koreans taking over the world, the members of BTS and the Squid Game cast have gained unprecedented popularity.

Recently the two worlds collided after the cast of the Netflix series Squid Game had an interview that included K-Pop group BTS!

Some of the cast and director Hwang Dong Hyuk sat down with Variety and played a game of “Most Likely To.” They were given a list of questions and had to pick which member it applied to the most.

In particular, one of the questions was which person was most likely to be caught singing a BTS song! Initially, the votes were split with two votes for Jung Ho Yeon, who plays Sae Byeok, and Park Hae Soo, who plays Cho Sang Woo.

Jung Ho Yeon pointed out that she picked her co-star because he had a much better voice than her even though she cemented herself as the better ARMY.

I mean, he’s a better singer, I think than me. But I think I know more about BTS than you!

However, although Park Hae Soon didn’t deny that Jung Ho Yeon was a huge ARMY, he made sure that everyone knew how much of a BTS fan he actually is!

I’m a huge fan of BTS, but I would say I am more of a dancer than a singer.

— Park Hae Soon

Unfortunately, even when the director asked if Park Hae Soon would dance to a BTS song instead, he said no, but it didn’t mean that he wouldn’t do it all, maybe just not in front of the cameras.

However, it isn’t just Jung Ho Yeon and Park Hae Soo who have shown their love and respect for BTS in the past. During an interview, director Hwang Dong Hyuk explained how he thought it was possible for the show to succeed worldwide and credited BTS as one of those reasons.

Ever since 2000, I think many entities in Korea have looked to the global market and, as a result, Squid Game was able to enjoy this amount of success. There’s PSY, BTS, Parasite, and it opened doors for Squid Game as well.

After their historic win at the AMAs, Anupam Tripathi, who plays Ali in the show, also shared his love and support for the group on his social media, something that netizens pointed out wasn’t done by many Korean idols or actors.

With people always comparing the success of Squid Game to that of BTS, it shows that there is more than enough room for everyone to shine globally. You can watch the whole video below.
