BTS Are Just As Much Fans Of Olympian Archer An San As She Is Of Theirs During “In The SOOP”

During the latest episode of BTS‘s show In the SOOP, fans were treated to so much content that if you blinked while watching it, you would definitely miss something. From new music to finishing their game of foot volleyball, it was once again another iconic episode.
In particular, after worrying that they would miss the event, the members all gathered in the living room and watched some of the 2020 Tokyo Olympics.

BTS gathered to watch the final of the women’s archery competition which included the Korean athlete and long-time K-Pop fan An San.
The members seemed very excited to sit down and watch An San in the final. When the event started, BTS looked very tense and focused as they watched both athletes battle it out and stay neck and neck throughout the opening moments.
Suga even pointed out that if San An had been around in the Joseon era, there is no denying that she would’ve been a powerful warrior.

As it got to the last few shots, J-Hope came to join his members, and there was an air of apprehension amongst the group. Even when San An’s opponent managed to do well, the members showcased their respect as they couldn’t stop praising both women for their talent.

With the athlete’s neck and neck, the members were right in saying that it felt just like a K-Drama. Their excitement not only seemed like a movie, just like their Billboard number one, but it managed to scare off Jungkook‘s dog Bam.

Luckily, the members didn’t have to wait long for the results and confirmation that An San had indeed won the gold medal for archery in the 2020 Tokyo Olympics. If everyone in the venue was excited, it might have just been rivaled by the reaction from the BTS members, and even Bam got involved in the celebrations.

After the episode aired, ARMYs and fans couldn’t hide how proud they were of the members for including footage of them watching An San, especially after An San came under fire from some men after accusing her of being a “feminist.”
Along with ATEEZ‘s San, who shared his support, fans love seeing male idols publicly showing love for An San.

It is nice to see legends celebrating other legends, especially considering An San is an ARMY! There is no denying that BTS and An San are both iconic in their fields! With both giving so much to fans, hopefully, there can be some interactions between the two at some point in the future.
