Earning any type of Gaon certification is always a big deal for a K-Pop (or any) artist! When it comes to singles, there are two ways to earn a certification: Through streams, or through downloads.

It’s more common for a song to earn it through streaming, and these 32 songs have all earned new Gaon certifications this year from streaming.

A platinum certification is awarded at 100 million streams, a double platinum at 200 million streams, and a triple platinum at 300 million streams. So these artists all have a lot to be proud of for reaching these milestones!
