Netflix‘s Squid Game has quickly gone on to become one of the most watched television series on the streaming platform, as the K-Drama rakes in impressively high viewership ratings. Despite having aired only a few days ago, the series has started to experience viral popularity and with it, one of the actresses is also starting to make headlines.
Meet Jung Ho Yeon, who plays the role of a North Korean defector by the name of Kang Sae Byeok in the 9-episode thriller series. While she shows off her spectacular acting abilities with her character portrayal, this intense K-Drama actually marks the model’s debut into the acting industry.
The fiery model-turned-actress started her entertainment career after placing second on Korea’s Next Top Model 4 back in 2013. Following her explosion in popularity, it was belatedly revealed that the Squid Game actress has been in a public relationship with Reply 1988 actor Lee Dong Hwi — for the past 6 years!
The two began dating back in 2015, but Jung Ho Yeon and Lee Dong Hwi made their relationship public in 2016 following Dispatch‘s release of the couple’s photos — and they have been going strong ever since.
And while not many details are available regarding their relationship, it was revealed that two met under natural settings due to their mutual love for fashion.
Lee Dong Hwi has been photographed at numerous different fashion shows because of his love for fashion, including shows featuring his very own girlfriend!
