We all know them as the pioneers of K-Pop, but how well do you really know them? Many fans of the current generation of idols barely knew that the founders of the Big 3 entertainment companies, YG Entertainment, SM Entertainment, and JYP Entertainment all used to be singers. Needless to say, they looked fairly attractive as youths! Here’s how they used to look like before they buckled down to set up their own companies.
1. Lee Soo Man
The founder of SM Entertainment, Lee Soo Man is highly respected in the field.
He actually made his debut as a singer in 1971, back when he was still attending Seoul National University, one of the top schools in the nation.
2. Park Jin Young
His recent release was actually only in 2020, “Switch to Me” with Rain.
The producer and CEO actually made his debut in 1994!
He was a smash hit. He also graduated from Yonsei University in 1996, so that’s the brains for you.
Does his childhood photo look strangely American? That’s because he spent 3 years there as a kid in elementary school.
3. Yang Hyun Suk
He has since stepped down from the CEO position but he still is the company’s founder.
He made his debut in Seo Taiji and the Boys in 1991!
He later made his solo debut in 1996.
He strangely looks like he could be a part of iKon or TREASURE if he was born in this day and age.
