Fans weren’t the only ones who were completely obsessed with Red Velvet – Irene & Seulgi‘s second single, “Naughty”, when it dropped last year. Even idols couldn’t get enough of their incredible performance—so much so that many worked hard to cover the notoriously difficult tutting choreography.
1. Ryujin (ITZY)
Ryujin and several of her bandmates are known to be fans of Red Velvet as well as the group’s first subunit, so it should come as little surprise that the ITZY center is one of the many idols who has covered “Naughty.” Ryujin took to ITZY’s official Instagram account to post her cover of the song, and the post quickly became the group’s most viewed Instagram video within just three days.
This isn’t the first time Ryujin has gone viral for blessing “ITZYVelvet” fans with content. One clip of the starlet helping out Irene on a music show currently has over 1.3 million views on Twitter.

2. Jeno & Jaemin (NCT Dream)
Red Velvet’s very own company juniors, NCT Dream’s Jeno and Jaemin, loved “Naughty” so much that they covered it twice. The two members posted their TikTok of the “#NaughtyChallenge” on SM Entertainment’s official account, reaching almost 1 million likes to date.

3. Onda (EVERGLOW)
Last October, EVERGLOW’s Onda blessed fans with a cover dance relay on Twitter. She performed several songs, from “Maria” by MAMAMOO‘s Hwasa to Jessi‘s “NUNU NANA”, but one which particularly stood out was her cover of “Naughty”. Wrapping up the cover with a big heart, Onda won the hearts of many ReVeluvs that day.

The Boyz’s main dancers Q and Juyeon also tried out TikTok’s “#NaughtyChallenge” and fans couldn’t get enough. It seems like the two talented stars may have impressed Irene and Seulgi themselves too, as their video is the only TikTok liked by Red Velvet’s own official account.

5. Yoon (STAYC)
As part of 1theK Originals’ “Role Model Cover VS” series with STAYC on YouTube, STAYC’s Yoon performed a vocal cover of “Fine” by Girls’ Generation‘s Taeyeon and a solo dance cover of “Naughty” too. While “Fine” won 1theK‘s Twitter poll, meaning the full version of Yoon’s “Naughty” cover won’t be shared, the snippet was enough to show her skills and her love for Red Velvet.
6. Soojin & Soeun (Weeekly)
The talented main dancers of rookie girl group Weeekly were some of the first to cover “Naughty”. Soojin and Soeun planned and executed the cover perfectly, even paying attention to smaller details like the clothes Irene and Seulgi wore in their own music video. Posted on Weeekly’s YouTube channel, the cover has already garnered over 300,000 views.
7. Seokyung (GWSN)
GWSN’s main dancer Seokyung also showed off her skills in a cover of “Naughty”, choosing to dance to one of the most difficult parts of the song. Seokyoung proved she can ace complex moves with speed and precision, wowing GWSN fans and ReVeluvs alike.
