In 2018, BTS‘s Jin shocked ARMYs (BTS’s fandom) when he revealed that they considered disbanding due to the amount of stress they were under.

We had a hard time mentally during the beginning of this year. While talking with each other, we even thought about disbanding.

Jin shared that the members “weren’t too happy” about him mentioning their near disbandment.

However, Jin brought it up because he was grateful and relieved that they got through everything.

Back then, we had such a hard time. Those memories just came up in my mind, so I said that I was grateful and relieved that we are here after overcoming such moments.

Suga also shared that they felt extremely pressured by the attention they were receiving. While the members were grateful for it, they were beginning to get scared.

We were pressured, as if… All we did was diligently do our job, but we then heard that we contributed to the nation, so we were so pressured.

Due to this, the members asked their agency (Big Hit Music) for a break. Their agency gladly agreed, and the members got a month’s break. This was one of the few breaks BTS got in their careers.

The break refreshed us a lot, and when you take a break for a month, it makes you want to perform again.
