Rumors about flight attendants and idols exchanging phone numbers and dating have long been circulating around, but is there some truth to them?
In a recent episode of AYO‘s “Comment Defenders” series, former flight attendants turned-YouTubers Kim Soo Dal and Kim Ha Gyeong debunked that rumor once and for all.
Kim Ha Gyeong explained that there are many reasons why idols and flight attendants do not interact. Other than constantly being under the watch of managers and fans, idols also prioritize their work above all.
One thing you should know is that it is very rare to meet on the plane. Managers and fans are watching, and work comes first for idols, so they never do that.

That doesn’t mean, however, that the rumor is baseless. Flight attendants do get asked out, but only by people of marriageable age. “But people who ask us out are of marriageable age.”

Kim Soo Dal agreed, saying that these are people who already have plans of getting married, “And they’d want to get married soon.”

They concluded by stating that, contrary to popular belief, idols do not date flight attendants: “Idols whom you really like never do that.”
