Model Irene recently shared the honest reason why she chose to end it with her former fiancé.
On the most recent episode of SBS Plus‘s Kang Ho Dong’s Rice Heart, supermodel and fashion blogger, Irene featured as a guest. During her time on the show, she shared a story about why she made the difficult decision to end a 3 year long relationship. The model began her story by revealing the pivotal moment that led to the eventual break up.
I had just graduated college and I realized I didn’t have a career that was mine.

She revealed that she didn’t have any experience in the modeling field, making the situation even worse. She shared, however, that she decided to do something about it during her time in Korea.
I went to Korea for summer vacation just for fun and I decided that I wanted to get a part-time job during my time there.

The model revealed that the agency she ended up at was none other than ESteem, which is a modeling agency under SM Entertainment.
That’s how I came to find ESteem.

It was during her time at ESteem that Irene came to an important decision.
This was when I had a realization. I wanted to make a career for myself at the time and do something for myself.

After coming to that conclusion, Irene revealed that she had to make a decision in regards to her relationship. It was here that she shared that she had to end things with her fiancé.
We broke up over FaceTime.

The model revealed that the break up meant that she would be giving up a luxurious New York lifestyle.
I could have lived a luxurious life in wealth and comfort as a New York City wife. I gave all of that up though, and chose myself at the end.
