1. Jin revealing that they almost disbanded
During the 2018 MAMA, ARMYs were shocked when Jin revealed that BTS considered disbanding because of the difficulties they were facing.
We had a hard time mentally during the beginning of this year. While talking with each other, we even thought about disbanding.

2. The members speaking up about chart manipulation
In 2019, sajaegi, also known as chart manipulation, was a big issue in K-Pop. BTS decided to speak about this issue during some of their acceptance speeches. When Jin gave their acceptance speech for the “Song of the Year” award at the 2019 MAMA, he said that music should be done in a honest way.
I really want us to live in a world where all of those songs are heard and get the recognition they deserve. I know there are some negative ways to do this, but music should be done in an honest way. I look forward to living in a world where music is produced in good faith and heard in good faith.

RM also spoke about the sajaegi issue during the 34th Golden Disc Awards when he accepted their “Album Daesang” award.
We got lucky to have received so much love and support from everyone around us. With their help, we stand here under the spotlight saying whatever we want to say. But we know there are so many artists who don’t or can’t have this. And those artists pour their hearts into their music. They’re in this game fair and square, even in the depths we cannot grasp.

Despite their incredible success, the BTS members are incredibly humble, and RM gave a humble speech at the 2019 MMA. When BTS won “Artist of the Year” at the show, RM said he isn’t sure if they deserve it.
I honestly don’t know if we deserve this award, among all the artists who are here in front of us and who made great music this year.

When we go home after awards shows like this, we feel… you know. We feel very humbled. Like, all we have ever done is make music in our studios, dance in the practice rooms, then perform on these stages. So we end up asking ourselves, do we really have the power to do anything? 4. Suga’s response to people who accused them of lip-syncing
Suga can be quite the savage, and he decided to be a little savage at the 2017 SBS Gayo Daejun Awards. At the time, some haters were accusing BTS of lip-syncing, so Suga decided to stop rapping midway through a performance and smiled as the track went on without the sound of his voice.
