NCT’s Taeyong Opens His Own Personal Instagram Account

Rapper, dancer, and visual Taeyong is the latest NCT member to open his own personal Instagram account!
Taeyong unveiled his account on February 18, 2021, during a three-hour broadcast on VLIVE, which reached over 4 million views. In just four hours, the NCT star racked up over 750,000 followers. Taeyong’s name also made it to Twitter’s top 10 worldwide trends with over 200,000 tweets.
At first, his username (@EH_OVO_nct) stumped international fans around the world. However, Korean-speaking fans soon noticed there’s a pretty clever meaning behind it.
In Hangul, Taeyong’s name is spelled 태용, and “EH_OVO” is a play on those characters. “EH” represents “태”, while “OVO” is meant to look like “용” written horizontally: “ㅇㅛㅇ”. Naturally, Taeyong added “NCT” to the end of his username to represent his group.
In true Taeyong style, the NCT star’s first upload is a video of him dancing to “White Iverson” by American rapper Post Malone.
The clip appears to have been filmed in the same shooting location as NCT 127‘s “Highway to Heaven” music video.
While he hasn’t shared any selfies on his Instagram yet, he did upload a very handsome photo as his profile picture.
Taeyong is now the 14th member of NCT to make an Instagram account. He joins Johnny (who has 4.8 million followers since opening his account in March 2020),
