A K-Drama that viewers did not love is suddenly gaining attention once more.

Thanks to a Reddit post on r/KDRAMA, viewers are now thinking twice about ENA‘s The Midnight Studio.

This K-Drama tells the story of short-tempered photographer Seo Ki Joo (Joo Won) who runs a photo studio where he takes pictures of ghosts. He somehow ends up in a partnership with Han Bom (Kwon Na Ra), a passionate lawyer who does not tolerate injustice of any sort.

Many K-Drama lovers originally gave it a chance due to the popularity of the actors. They were sadly disappointed, however, when they watched the first episode, believing it was messy and difficult to immerse themselves in.

In the Reddit post, current viewers promised that the succeeding episodes were much better than the first. The Midnight Studio apparently needed time to properly set up its worldbuilding.

A big part of what made it stand out from other K-Dramas was the impeccable chemistry between the two leads. One gushed over Joo Won and Na Ra, saying, “The chemistry between the leads is phenomenal.”

After getting used to the worldbuilding in the first few episodes, viewers became engrossed in the story. They loved the rollercoaster of emotions that they were brought on and suggested “keeping several boxes of tissues on hand” to future fans.
