YG Entertainment’s YGX Academy Announces Sudden Shutdown

YGX Academy recently announced its closure through its social media, taking fans by surprise.

On April 30, KST, the official Instagram account of YGX, posted a story announcing that YGX Academy will be closing down its operations from April 30. YGX Academy is a dance academy managed by YG Entertainment that provides choreography lessons. The instructors included famous K-Pop choreographers who have worked with artists like BLACKPINK, BIGBANG, iKON, BABYMOSTER, and so on.

Many of these well-known YGX instructors also took to their social media accounts to share the news. Dancer Deukie, one of the Kwon Twins, apologized to fans and assured them that there will be a new beginning after this goodbye.

Dancer Taryn Cheng also posted a story thanking everyone for attending her classes.

Many other YGX dancers also expressed similar sentiments in their Instagram updates.

This sudden announcement has taken fans aback, who are left theorizing the reason behind this closure.
