Model-actor Kim Jin Kyung, aged 27, and soccer player Kim Seung Gyu, aged 33, are set to marry in June.
According to a report by The Fact on March 29, Kim Jin Kyung and Kim Seung Gyu are planning to tie the knot with a wedding ceremony in June. Rumor has it the two grew closer over their shared interest in soccer and eventually developed a romantic relationship.
Kim Jin Kyung is currently showcasing her exceptional athletic skills as a midfielder for FC Nine-Height in the popular SBS variety show Shooting Stars. The actress also has a background in youth soccer.
Kim first debuted in the entertainment industry in 2012 through OnStyle‘s Korea’s Next Top Model Season 3. At the tender age of 16, she captured the hearts of the judges with her photogenic presence and finished as the runner-up. Since then, she has appeared in various dramas and entertainment programs, including KBS1‘s Andante, KBS2′s Perfume, MBC‘s We Got Married, and SBS‘s Law of the Jungle in Patagonia.
Meanwhile, Kim Seung Gyu started his professional career as a goalkeeper with Ulsan Hyundai in 2006. After stints with Vissel Kobe and Kashiwa Reysol in Japan, he is currently playing for Al-Shabab FC in Saudi Arabia.
Over the past decade, he has been a key player for the South Korean national team, guarding the goal under coach Paulo Bento’s leadership. He played every match as the starting goalkeeper in the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar, contributing significantly to Korea’s advancement to the round of 16. He was also selected for the 2023 AFC Asian Cup team but had to withdraw due to a cruciate ligament injury.
