Min Hee Jin Addresses Developing A Stronger Bond With NewJeans Through Ongoing Feud

On April 25, KST, ADOR’s CEO Min Hee Jin held an emergency press conference to address the ongoing feud between her and her label’s parent company, HYBE. She addressed the control of NewJeans, accusations of plagiarism, and more.

Afterward, she appeared as a guest in an exclusive interview with CBS Radio’s Kim Hyun Jung’s News Show. Through various questions, she delved into more detail regarding her reason for wanting to hold a press conference, the claims made about her and ADOR, the plagiarism regarding NewJeans’ concept, and more.

Regarding NewJeans’ comeback, she revealed her frustration and couldn’t understand why this event happened just before the group’s activities. She seemed to tear up while talking about the group, showing how much she was invested in supporting the girls.

Reporter: It seems like CEO Min is getting a bit emotional, crying a little, as she talks about the members.

Min Hee Jin: However, this opportunity has allowed me to develop an even deeper relationship with the members.

Reporter: So you were able to see just how close your bond was with them.

Min shared that it felt like the members had saved her through all this.

Min Hee Jin: I felt like everything was getting out of hand, and I thought do I really need to die for this to end? There was a moment where it all felt a bit strange. But then, the girls called me, as if they knew. The members called me on the phone together. I thought this wouldn’t help much, but the girls were crying and telling me they loved me. Usually, I would cringe at things like this, but this time, it really touched me so deeply that, at that moment, I didn’t want to die. And it felt like they had saved me. That’s why I think we are really close, and the girls are all really great with everyone else too. They are nice to everyone, but our relationship is quite special because we’ve gone through many things together. I’m not saying all this to get something out of it. I’m just sharing it because it’s the truth. If I say things like I’m worried and can’t talk about it anymore, it’ll just turn into false accusations. But since we don’t know everything fully, I am a bit cautious. But I have a lot of thoughts about this. I think this is about all I can say about it now.

Reporter: The love you have for NewJeans, I’m sure people just listening to it now can feel it deeply.

Min Hee Jin: It could be because I don’t have children. So, while some may think I’m going overboard, thinking that these girls are quintuplets, you won’t be able to say that if you’ve worked and raised them together.
