Fan Tells NCT’s YangYang Not To Film Challenges With Lucas

When WayV was announced as a subunit of NCT, the group was made up of 7 members.

In 2021, member Lucas was involved in a gaslighting and cheating scandal that resulted first in him being placed on an indefinite hiatus. As part of multiple changes to NCT in 2023, it was announced that Lucas would leave the group and promote as a solo artist.

WayV continued promoting as six, releasing On My Youth following the official changes.

In March 2023, it was announced that Lucas would make his solo debut on April 1. The announcement was met with mixed reactions as netizens discussed the idol’s return.

Recently, during a video call with WayV YangYang, a fan brought up Lucas’s upcoming release, though in a way unexpected.

While speaking with YangYang, a fan held up a sign that said, “Don’t film a dance challenge with HXX.” HXX stands for Huang Xuxi, the Mandarin spelling of Lucas’ name.

Commenters reacted favorably, but based on YangYang’s somewhat awkward reaction, some took it as a sign that it may happen and asked for hate not to be directed at the WayV member.
