According to a press release by CL’s agency Team Very Cherry, CL’s mother suddenly passed away due to a heart attack on January 23.

CL’s mother Hong Yu Ra passed away due to a heart attack on January 23 while staying abroad. Her funeral will be held for three days starting from February 10, and the funeral procession will be on February 12.
Due to the serious situation with COVID-19, the funeral will be held quietly with only her family and relatives.
