Non-Fan Is Shocked By LE SSERAFIM Sakura’s Actions Towards Them — Netizens React

According to the post, the netizen was not a fan of Sakura but met the idol multiple times as they accompanied their friend to events.

When it comes to idol who recognizes fans, I have to talk about Sakura. Since my friend stanned her, I met her frequently while she was still an idol in Japan. I would buy tickets to handshake events and go with my friend. I remember she recognized me after going twice. The last close interaction I had with Sakura was probably when IZ*ONE debuted in 2018. I didn’t see her much afterwards because it was too expensive.

Sakura was a member of the Japanese idol group HKT48 prior to her activities in Korea and often participated in handshake events to meet with fans.

Although the non-fan didn’t have a chance to see Sakura for years after the idol’s Korean debut, they finally met her coincidentally in 2024.

Last month, I was lucky enough to get into the live broadcast for Music Core after attending the pre-recording for MAMAMOO’s Moonbyul. Coincidentally, LE SSERAFIM had a comeback, so I also got to see them. They were waving to fans while waiting for their interview. I was standing where I could see them as long as I stretched my head out, so I did that and happened to see Sakura, and…I waved once.

LE SSERAFFIM had been promoting their 3rd mini album, Easy, while Moonbyul had been promoting her 1st regular solo album, Starlit of Muse, at the same time.

After the non-fan waved at Sakura, they were shocked by the reaction they got from her.

“Unexpectedly, she looked over at that exact time and saw me. She had a shocked expression on her face, pointed at me, and waved. I wondered, ‘Did I get recognized by her?’ I had doubts, so I looked to see if her fans were behind me. I was standing at the very back, leaning on the railing, right where she could see as soon as she looked up. Her fans were all near the front, by the stage. From the view of where the interview was taking place, they were on her right-hand side, so I was the only one waving at her from the front.

Once I confirmed, I waved to her again, and she waved back. So yeah, I was 90% sure she was greeting me. I was so shocked. I told my friend about this right after the live broadcast ended, and my friend also thought it was amazing.

Although I was in shock, I still enjoyed watching Moonbyul.”

Aside from their interactions with the idol, the non-fan also observed how Sakura interacted with her fans.

“During the ending, I took a peek at Sakura’s interactions with fans. She really sought out her fans in the audience and reacted to each and every one of them. She even pointed at a fan and commented on how they changed their hairstyle. Although the venue wasn’t big, there were fans from many different fandoms, so it’s impressive how she was able to find her fans. It’s a good thing Moonbyul found me as well – but that’s a different story, so I’ll save it for next time.

Actually, I really want to go to a fansign and ask Sakura myself, but it’s too expensive. I miss the days when I could talk to her with just a handshake event ticket. I miss Maru-chan (Sakura’s cat) too; I wonder if the cat is doing well. Sakura was really cute back then. She would have the expression of the cat in this image and ask me, ‘Am I your 2nd bias?'”
