“Exhuma” To Hold Special Screening For Viewers That Are “Too Scared”

Kim Go Eun and Lee Do Hyun-starrer occult film Exhuma is going the extra length to ensure that all kinds of audiences are able to watch the movie, even if they are scared of the content.

Exhuma is a mystery thriller that follows the exhumation of an ominous grave, which leads to dreadful consequences. The movie became the highest-grossing film of 2024 in South Korea at the box office by February 29. The spine-chilling story has attracted over 8 million viewers in South Korea’s theatres already.

Due to the widespread popularity of the movie, it has swiftly become a pop culture staple in the country, with many joking that those who haven’t watched Exhuma yet might find it hard to join conversations with their friends! CGV, the largest multiplex chain in South Korea, has come to the rescue of these scared movie-goers, organizing a “Courageous Screening” for them.

The event is scheduled for March 24, at four different locations of CGV in Seoul. The screening, exclusively for Exhuma, will provide noise-cancellation earplugs to the audience members and Exhuma-themed tattoo stickers that Lee Do Hyun is seen sporting in the movie. Despite being a special screening, the ticket prices will be the same as other screenings. However, people need to apply to attend the event through CGV’s website and mobile app.
