She dated her now-husband for 7 years before announcing her relationship in 2020, along with her marriage. This means that they began dating around 2013! Hyelim shared that she met him when she followed her father to a Taekwondo gathering. Her father is a Taekwondo master. She claimed that she was even able to go out with her then-boyfriend in public, thanks to him being a non-celebrity. People simply assumed that he was her manager! They even asked him if they could get her autographs. That was when the couple realized that they would be able to go out with each other comfortably.
