Netizens Slam Soccer Star Lee Kang In For “Insincere Apology”

In an incident that has the soccer world in an uproar, players Lee Kang In and Son Heung Min were caught in the crossfire. It was alleged that during a team dinner, a scuffle broke out between Son Heung Min and the younger players, including Lee Kang In. The report states that the scuffle was over Paris Saint-Germain F.C. (PSG) star Lee Kang In, who wanted to play table tennis after a team dinner. Son Heung Min wanted Lee Kang In to get an early rest to prepare for their upcoming match. In the tussle that ensued, Son’s hand was injured.

Since the incident, the “younger players” on the team have uploaded apologies. As the one at the center of it all, Lee uploaded an apology to his Instagram story.

The apology has since received even more criticism. Fellow player Kim Min Jae put out his apology as a post, leading to comparisons between the two.

Netizens felt that an Instagram story apology only proved how insincere Lee was. Stories disappear after 24 hours, erasing the matter from the user’s public profile.
