NCT Ten’s Does The “Impossible” With His Solo Album — Surpassing Taylor Swift

NCT‘s Ten has managed a huge feat with the release of his solo album!

On February 13, Ten’s long-awaited debut album, Ten, was finally released. Though there were some complaints surrounding the release centered around the co-star in his pre-release and alleged favoritism, fans were overjoyed at the WayV member being able to show off his hard work.

The video currently has 1.3 million views, less than 12 after release, an impressive total for any solo artist.

Many expected Ten to achieve great things with the release but were left in awe of one of his accomplishments, all because of the artist he beat, Taylor Swift.

Taylor Swift is one of the most popular stars worldwide and has stayed in the headlines even as her tour has taken a brief break ahead of dates in Europe and Singapore. Her relationship with football player Travis Kelcie and her appearance at the Super Bowl on February 10 is just the latest of her viral activities.

Many of Swift’s albums have remained in the charts over the years, and several, including her album Lover, have remained on multiple charts, even years after their releases, due to her mindblowing popularity. This includes multiple albums ranking at the top of the US iTunes charts, one of the places her fanbase is strongest.

With the release of his album, Ten, shot to the top of the US Pop Album iTunes chart, surpassing all of Swift’s albums, even after her viral moments this weekend!

Ten also ranked high on the K-Pop charts worldwide and made it to number five on the iTunes overall chart in the US, competing with artists like Usher, who has also been trending due to his Superbowl performance and new album release.
