Fans Call For Boycott Of Stray Kids’, ITZY’s And NMIXX’s Upcoming Release Due To Relations To The Palestinian Genocide
본문
It was recently announced that Stray Kids, ITZY, and NMIXX would be participating in a collaboration with Coca-Cola for a themed release. The song “Like Magic” is part of a project with the brand.
While many want to show support for their favorite groups, the issue is tied in with the Palestinian Genocide, leading to fans voicing out wishes to boycott the release. Coca-Cola is on the list of brands that people are boycotting for their relation to the matter. The brands on the list have allegedly either shown support for Israel, displayed some form of resistance to Palestinian support, or gone against those standing for Palestine.
List of brands to boycott. | @nmixxpics_/TwitterIt is claimed that Coca-Cola “violates international law by operating in Atarot, an illegal Israeli settlement.” According to Aljazeera News, “The fizzy drinks manufacturer has long been caught in the crossfire of conflict in the Middle East. From 1967 to 1991, Coke was officially boycotted by the Arab League for building a bottling plant in Israel. The company does not appear to have set off any recent triggers, but its past affiliations with Israel as well as its reputation as an American company seem to be enough.”
Following news of the colloration, fans have trended “JYPE_Boycott_Genocide” on Twitter.
We do NOT want TWICE, DAY6, Stray Kids, ITZY, NiziU, Xdinary Heroes, NMIXX, or any JYPE artists to associate with or promote COCACOLA. These companies are financing a genocide in Palestine.

Fans have indicated that they will be boycotting any collaboration that involves such brands.
You've literally invented this @jyp_edm, JYPE. You should be aware about the ongoing genocide that have been and STILL are happening over the past months.
We urge you not to involve your artists in collaboration projects with brands implicated in these… pic.twitter.com/YInZIspjqY

Fans who are a fan of all the groups under the company were initially excited, but later retracted their support. They questioned why the company could not just have made them collaborate on a song together, without the involvement of Coca-Cola.
they could've just had them collab tho why did it have to be for coca cola like you are just going to bring hate to your artists what was this thought process behind it

Fans are extremely sensitive of issues pertaining to boycotted brands being associated with K-Pop idols. Previously, many idols were placed on the chopping block for showing any form of consumption or support for Starbucks. You can read more on that below.
