Hyeri Will Reportedly Star In Upcoming Girls Love K-Drama

Hyeri will reportedly be a lead actress in TVING‘s upcoming Girls Love K-Drama.

According to an exclusive report from Star News, Hyeri has accepted a lead role in TVING’s new K-Drama Friendly Competition. Based on the webtoon of the same name, the webtoon tells the story of Woo Seulgi, who was the top student at her previous school before transferring to the prestigious Chaehwa Girls’ High School. There, she meets Yoo Jei, a top student at Chaehwa. The K-Drama has mystery and psychological thriller themes along with aspects of Girls Love.

Hyeri would play the role of Yoo Jei, a top student at Chaehwa who has both a high IQ and skills. While Yoo Jei’s character is quite different from Woo Seulgi’s, the K-Drama will show the gradual process of the two falling for each other.

Hyeri’s agency Creative Group ING has since commented on Star News’ report.

Hyeri is currently positively considering the role in Friendly Competition.
