SBS Causes Another “Broadcasting Accident” At The “2023 SBS Gayo Daejeon” — This Time With THE BOYZ

THE BOYZ prepared a special performance for the 2023 SBS Gayo Daejeon. They put a lot of work into making the stage special. Juyeon even did an acrobatic performance carrying a suitcase, acting like a spy.

Despite his hard work, the performance did not make it to broadcast. While fans managed to get it down on fancam, the scene was accidentally cut out of the show. Instead of focusing on him, the camera showed the audience instead. While that in itself would not have caused many issues if done right, the blurry and zoomed-in footage resulted in fans determining that it was a pure accident.

The camera ended up showing him walking, before panning to the audience. Fans were angered at the situation.

Another fan explained that the cameraman was not qualified. The cameraman had been stationed at the opposite end of the stage from Juyeon, and the accident happened as he was turning the camera around.

If you look at his fancams, you can see that the cameraman was filming him from the very opposite side. Later, they turned to film Juyeon again. I can’t believe that people with no f*cking skills are cameramen.

Netizens are highly angered by SBS’s incompetency.

• Gayo Daejeon was just poop. Actually, it was worse than poop.
• Hope that the Gayo Daejeon staff and especially those in charge of the cameras aren’t thinking of writing written apologies and receiving their salaries. How can people who make a living off this, calling themselves professionals, be this bad? I’m speechless. THE BOYZ prepared so hard for this, it’s a pity.
• They did a fade out and filmed the bodies of the audience only. Don’t they normally film the audience’s faces? How is this “filming the audience?”
• No, but please show the artists on stage.
• Did the cameraman use his phone instead of working?
• I’m a fan of another idol, but this is so upsetting. He probably worked hard to prepare this… Didn’t they do camera rehearsals? This is bad too, but the camerawork overall was so messy.
• I’m so upset, Juyeon. But you did so well.
• Aigoo, the camerawork was so bad today. Especially for THE BOYZ and Stray Kids.
