It seems like K-Pop is set to make history by debuting idols who are former North Korean citizens.
The only time North Korea and South Korea met for K-Pop was when Red Velvet performed there in 2018.
Well, it seems like K-Pop might be about to make history as a new group is set to debut with two North Korean members, and it’s with former SM Entertainment’s A&R Michelle Cho.
She is known for writing some of the biggest songs by the biggest idols, including EXO‘s Baekhyun and Kai, SEVENTEEN, and many more.

As expected, with Michelle being so open about her project, it has already gained attention and even has a fan page for the members. On the account, they shared the details of the members expected to debut in SB BOYZ, including the two North Korean members Seok and Hyuk.

The page for the group shared some information from the article, including a lot of information about Yoo Hyuk. They explained that the trainee came to South Korea when he was 13 and some of the hardships he suffered before.

Michelle has shared that she is holding auditions for the remaining spots.
It would definitely be historical when this happens, but it isn’t surprising that some have voiced their concerns, especially when it comes to the safety of the trainees. Yet, they want to start fresh and live out their idol dreams, and Michelle is helping them to do that.
