AT AREA Aims To Craft The “Final Version” Of HyunA

HyunA recently revealed that she signed with a new label, AT AREA, which was co-founded by the South Korean hip-hop producer duo GroovyRoom.
One of her first moves after joining the new company was releasing a documentary, AT AREA PRESENTS ‘Documentary: Girl with Attitude, in which she explains why she decided to sign with AT AREA after leaving P NATION in 2022.
GroovyRoom’s Park Gyu Jeong, Lee Hwi Min, and HyunA | HyunA/YouTube HyunA debuted at 14 years old in the legendary second-generation group, the Wonder Girls, before amicably parting ways with the group for health reasons.
The talented idol would then be reintroduced as a member of CUBE Entertainment‘s 4MINUTE, which shined a new spotlight on HyunA as she promoted both with the group and as a solo artist, beginning with her 2010 hit solo song, “Change.”

In her time with CUBE Entertainment, she also participated in the project group Dazzling Red with fellow idol group members SISTAR‘s Hyolyn, SECRET‘s Hyosung, After School‘s Nana, and KARA‘s Nicole, and was a fixed member of two popular sub-units, Trouble Maker and Triple H.
After parting ways with CUBE in 2018, she joined PSY‘s label, P NATION, where she remained until August 2022.
HyunA admitted she wanted to work with members of AT AREA’s team for ten years, but there hadn’t been an opportunity before.
Still, she trusted their production skills and continued to hope they would work together in the future.

When she finally visited AT AREA for the first time, she felt the company was “hip” and knew it was where she “needed to be.”
HyunA revealed that with AT AREA, she is learning more about “music and personality.”

GroovyRoom’s Lee Hwi Min shared that he had been a fan of HyunA growing up and revealed his goal was to create a “complete version” of HyunA, both in music and image, a “final version.”
HyunA agreed with the vision and felt they were already working together well.
